The Little Engine That Could (BJWSTFU)
First and foremost, I would like to inform anyone who is interested in knowing that I have finally come to an agreement with Dodge County Nebraska and will begin serving a six month probation period on May 23. The Man finally got me down. Thanks to everyone who was pulling for me. Now on to the fun stuff. Monday night I was working and encountered some really strange stuff. In case you didn't read yesterday's blog, I'm attempting to prove it is the fault of the moon phase. Today I wanted to share the story of the little engine that could. I want to make it clear that I hold no ill will towards anyone for 'lifestyle' choices. The guy in question always came off as a bit femmy if you know what I'm saying. He frequents the bar and proceeds to get hammered drunk, calls a cab, and leaves without incident most days. Monday he was especially drunk. He bought one of my regulars a drink and was talking to him when the guy stood up and walked out of the bar. Weird, I thought. Then he bought a round of shots and a pitcher for a table of three guys. He went over and sat with them. They were all talking when he asked me to call him a cab. One of the guys, a 22 year old, insisted on taking the guy home. Atthat point the guy asked the kid if he would stay the night with him. The kid jumped back and assured the guy that it was not going to happen, but would still give him a ride home. Now most people would simply accept the ride home. Not the little engine that could. He replies, and I quote"I'm not gay. I just want to spend the night with you." The kid was amazingly calm still. He said he would still give the guy a ride but he needed to shut up about the gay stuff. Then the little engine dropped the bomb. "You just look so young and handsome. I would love to spend the night with you." Realize that at this point in the evening there is me, three young guys (one of which is huge) and the little engine. I started heading out towards the table as fast as I could. All I heard was"You child molesting faggot!", and"Get the fuck out of Fremont!", and other assorted not so pleasant things come flying out this kids mouth, and then everyone was standing up. I told the little engine to shut up and go sit at the bar. To my utter fucking amazement he actually kept talking. "He's just so cute. I just want to suck his dick." To my good fortune the kid was the only one who tried to rush the little engine and I was able to hold him back. He was a wiry son of a gun. He almost got by me a couple of times but I was able to get him out of the door before I had to witness a hate crime. I called for a cab and let the little engine stay until it got there. He saw it as a dick move but I told him he may want to look for a bar that is more his groove if he didn't want to get beat up. And that concludes the story of the little engine that could but just wouldn't shut the fuck up. The moral of the story. Kickeveryone out of the bar early and you can leave earlier. Peace.
